Welcome to Our Church

When you visit FUMC of Apopka, you can expect two things: an open door and a warm greeting. Whether you are stepping out of a BMW or parking your bike, we are happy to see you. Jesus’ welcome goes out to everyone, and there is no dress code or expectation other than to come as you are.

Our worship services are led by Pastor John Fisher.  He delivers messages from the Word of God that are understandable and applicable to our lives.  Mark Looney leads our choir and congregation in music.  From slow, reflective songs to upbeat pieces, the music will help guide you to experience the many aspects of traditional Methodist worship of our God.

First United Methodist Church of Apopka has had a presence in the Apopka area since 1870.  Our present sanctuary was opened in 1961.  While we have a rich and faithful history, we are God’s faithful people of today, the Body of Christ, the Church in the 21st Century.

You are welcome to come as you are and to be yourself.  Please come to visit.  We hope you will experience a joyful time of worship with us.
